Frankie’s in Bay Ridge absolutely nails what a neighborhood pizza spot should feel like. From the moment you walk in, it hits you — that old-school Brooklyn charm. Red-checkered tables, a little bit of controlled chaos, and walls filled with kids’ drawings that give the whole place this warm, nostalgic energy you don’t see much anymore. It feels lived-in, in the best way. The food more than holds up. The pizza bianco was rich and balanced, with a perfect crust that had just the right chew and char. The meatballs & burrata were a standout — tender, flavorful, and elevated by that creamy burrata that ties everything together. But the real move was the specialty pie — half pepperoni with honey, half prosciutto and arugula. Sweet, salty, crispy, fresh… every bite hit differently, and somehow both sides worked equally well. It’s the kind of pie you keep thinking about after you leave. Frankie’s isn’t trying to be trendy. It’s just doing everything right. This is the kind of place you want to come back to — often.

From the very first bite, I was blown away by the quality and flavor of their pizza; it's truly the best I’ve ever had. The crust is perfectly crispy, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and generous. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, making every visit feel special. They go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great dining experience, from welcoming you with a smile to checking in on you throughout your meal. What truly makes Frankies feel like home is the warm and inviting atmosphere. If you want an unforgettable pizza experience paired with outstanding service in a cozy setting, Frankies of Bay Ridge is the place to be. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Andrea is always our waitress, and she is fantastic!! My husband and I come here whenever we can so that we can be treated like family. The pizza is exceptional, the hospitality is warm. If you want a real New York experience, you come here. Period. Cozy, delicious, authentic. And so many options! I came here tonight with my vegetarian friend, and there were so many options for her! And scrumptious too. Vegan sausage and pepperoni. Just all around amazing. We love you guys :)

We ordered three items by phone: (1) Bianca’s pizza, (2) a Brooklyn-style pizza, and (3) the 71st Street salad. I asked whether it was better to pay with cash or card, and the woman on the phone advised paying cash and told me the total would be $48. My husband picked up the order about 20 minutes later. When we got home, we started with the salad and immediately noticed what appeared to be a gray hair in it. We called Frankie’s right away and were told we could either receive a refund or get a free item on a future order. We chose the refund and said we’d come back in about 30 minutes. Since my husband was hungry, we skipped the salad and started eating the Bianca’s pizza. While eating his third slice, my husband had to spit out his bite because there was a piece of plastic in the pizza. At that point, it felt like one issue after another. My husband boxed up the salad with the hair and the pizza slice with the plastic and returned to the restaurant to show them what we found. Unfortunately, the woman who took my original order accused him of lying and implied we were trying to get free food. This was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, when my husband asked for a receipt (which he was not given at pickup), she suddenly provided one showing a total of $44—despite having told me over the phone that the total was $48. It’s a shame, because the pizza itself tasted good. However, plastic in food is a serious choking hazard, and finding hair in a salad is unacceptable. The situation was made far worse by the staff’s response, the accusations, and the inconsistency in pricing. Had the issue been handled with honesty and accountability, I would have rated this place much higher. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. Customers should be cautious about pricing and, unfortunately, hope they don’t find human hair or plastic in their food.

The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Italian cuisine and have a limited menu. Servers are available for customers when dining in. Customers can choose from pizza, salads, appetizers, calzones and beverages. I ordered a margherita pizza, salad and meatballs. The food was very good and well-prepared. Friendly and helpful staff.
