I really love PSS and feel so comfortable and confident dropping off my daughter in the morning. The team of teachers are warm, caring, and creative. I know she’ll be safe, have a ton of fun, and learn a lot.

PSS is amazing. Our daughter started in the 2’s and had such an incredible experience through to the 3’s. The program is the perfect blend of play, education, and social/emotional development, especially during those very tricky toddler years! As first time parents, we felt so supported, and the teachers really partnered with us to give our daughter everything she needed to thrive and be fully prepared to enter pre-K. Our daughter (and we) are still the best of friends with our PSS community, even several years after leaving the school and all going to different pre-K’s and K’s. If you are looking for a place that will nurture your child, start their education early, and give you a community of support, PSS is the place!

We couldn’t be happier with Park Slope Schoolhouse—it’s truly the best daycare in Park Slope for working parents who want both reliable childcare and a high-quality early education. We enrolled our child just after their first birthday, and it has been an incredible experience. The program strikes a rare balance: it’s a full-time daycare with extended hours (which we absolutely need), but it also has a thoughtful, play-based preschool curriculum that focuses on social-emotional development, independence, and creativity. The teachers are exceptional—warm, attentive, and deeply experienced. You can tell they genuinely know and care about each child. Our child has grown so much in confidence, language, and social skills since starting here. What really sets Park Slope Schoolhouse apart from other daycares in Brooklyn is the consistency and professionalism. As working parents, reliability is everything, and this program delivers. The schedule is predictable, communication is clear, and we always feel informed about what’s happening during the day. The environment is clean, bright, and well-organized, with plenty of engaging activities and outdoor time. It feels more like a small school community than a typical daycare, which we love. If you’re looking for a daycare for a 1-year-old or toddler in South Slope or Park Slope, this is an amazing option—especially if you want something that will grow with your child through the preschool years. Highly, highly recommend.

Our experience with PSS was exceptional. The environment strikes the perfect balance between nurturing warmth and thoughtful structure – our son loved attending, and one of the hardest parts of moving out of Brooklyn was leaving PSS. The teachers are truly the heart of the program—attentive, patient, and deeply committed to each child’s development. They take the time to understand individual personalities, and it’s clear that every interaction is intentional and grounded in a genuine love for what they do. The curriculum is engaging and well-rounded, blending play-based learning with meaningful skill-building. Equally impressive is the sense of community. Communication with families is consistent and thoughtful, and there is a shared feeling that everyone—staff, children, and parents alike—is part of something special. Simply put, this is a place where children thrive. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Can’t say enough good things about this school! We chose to enroll our son in the 2s program for a few reasons: - Professional, clean, and dynamic environment (felt like a “school” while still embracing play and independence) - Kind, educated, and committed teachers (many with long tenures) - Highly engaged and organized administration - Onsite outdoor space and lots of natural light We were not disappointed and it was an easy decision to enroll our son in the 3s program this year. We are continuously amazed at what he is learning and would highly recommend to other parents in the neighborhood.
