SO GOOD!! Just had the vegan slice and it was actually life changing- so much so that I basically inhaled it before I could grab a pic— but just get it- it’s so good.

The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered one plain slice just to test things out since it was my first time. The slices was pretty average. Considering we are now in the age of near $5.00 slices in NYC, Im just expecting for more these days. For $2.50 I'd say this would have been a good deal.

This pizza takes me to the edge of pleasuretown every time- in large part because of their proprietary cheese distribution technology which takes the cheese all the way to the very edge of the crust. Service? impeccable. Atmosphere? Unbeatable. Downside? Been eating it so much I had to go up two pant sizes. Oh well, worth it.

Alvo’s pizza is delicious. Came across this place recently outta nowhere while walking in the neighborhood; saw a few people carrying the blue pizza box or eating a slice. Ordered a cheese slice and a buffalo chicken slice. They tasted amazing! The crust is crispy, sauce was good too. This place is going to be a super hit in some months. Will be back here every now and then!

I am a huge pizza snob. I eat it all the time. I make my own pizza. This is the first time I have had a slice that I like as much as my own. Excellent stuff. I had a red slice (cheese/regular) and a pepperoni. The cheese slice was top tier. I ordered it well done/extra crispy and would do that again. Two knocks (that are nitpicks not worth removing a star): 1) The pepperoni is a little sloppy, it would be much better if it was precooked to get it crispier and less greasy. It made the pepperoni slice a lot softer and goopier. 2) They cook on wire racks rather than launching from wood directly into the oven. If the red/cheese/regular wasn’t so excellent I’d knock a star off for each of the above. I’m in town for a week and will be eating at ALVO every day lol
